Caravans

The caravan business is booming, with growing numbers of people buying and holidaying in caravans, therefore leading to greater job opportunities and career progression. The National Caravan Council estimates that the caravan sector employs over 90,000 people, in jobs that range from high tech manufacturing to park maintenance.

All this variety means the caravan sector is diverse and complex, requiring multiple skills across a number of disciplines. Changes within the market and regulatory framework of this £5b sector necessitate increased professionalism, specific skills training and assessed qualifications.

To meet these needs, the National Skills Academy will provide businesses and professionals within the sector a key service. Through the provision of a coherent approach to training, the Academy provides the necessary skills and access to qualifications required to maintain this growing sector.
