The Future Jobs Fund is a government programme led by the Department for Work and Pensions that aims to create more than 150,000 new jobs across the country. It is primarily aimed at 18-24 year olds who have been claiming Jobseekers Allowance for nearly a year.
Working on behalf of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the National Skills Academy for Sport & Active Leisure made successful bids for funding and is now overseeing the delivery of 5,300 jobs across the sport and active leisure industries.
The Future Jobs Fund programme will:
- Help tackle youth unemployment
- Provide wage subsidies to employers
- Bring new business to training providers
Future Jobs Fund positions must provide at least 25 hours of work a week, last for at least six months, and include relevant skills training.
We will match each candidate with an employer and source the training candidates need to carry out the work from our network of approved providers.
