Skills for Life
Skills for Life is the national strategy in England for adult literacy, language and numeracy. Over 25 million people in England aged 16-65 are below level 2 standards (GCSE equivalent A*-C) in either literacy or numeracy.
Many employers are not aware of employees with literacy and numeracy difficulties. This can result in resistance to change, poor communication with customers or colleagues and a high rate of wastage.
There are many benefits for both employers and staff themselves in brushing up their English and maths skills. These include:
- Improving the quality of services
- Better progress in other qualifications
- Reducing staff turnover
- Improving relations with customers
- Reducing errors
- Increasing productivity
All these skills leads to a confident, flexible and skilled workforce. Enquire now to receive further information from your region.
