With hundreds of training providers and hundreds of qualifications and courses in our sector, it is both time consuming and difficult to find the most suitable for your needs.
The National Skills Academy has been established with the principle of improving the quality of training within the sport and active leisure sector. Our role is to help you to find the best provider, delivering the most appropriate and highest quality training based on your needs.

You can be assured of the quality of our training. All our providers go through a stringent and independent quality assurance process based on
- Employer engagement: How do they support you as a business, is the provision right for the sector, how do they demonstrate support to you as an employer
- Quality: Review of the current delivery, including an assessment of the quality standards in place ranging from Ofsted scores, through to training quality standards and awarding body reports
- Resources: They have the capacity to deliver to one or more of your sites, including the flexibility to run courses when you need them both onsite and offsite
Our network is built to provide you with:
- A skills academy point of contact: providing you with a single point of contact to access the complete network of providers across the sport and active leisure sector
- We can arrange for face to face meetings with a selected range of providers in the form of an assessment panel
- We can support you to liaise with providers to present their solutions to you
