| Free and subsidised statutory training |
|
A number of free and heavily subsidised courses and workshops are being organised by the SkillsActive team in the North West during the month of November. With funding available for qualified sports coaches and outdoor instructors, this is an ideal opportunity for your staff and volunteers to take vital training at a discount. Coaches and instructors can take advantage of a free 3-hour workshop on Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults, which is suitable for those working or volunteering in sports and outdoors situations. This course usually costs over £30, so offers great savings. A range of first aid courses tailored to suit sports coaches and outdoor instructors are also available at a 50% discount*. Book now to save over £70 on this essential training. These courses can be attended by anyone who is living or working in North West England and is a qualified sports coach or outdoor instructor, whether volunteer or paid. The courses are available at reduced price thanks to a small amount of money left over from the North West Mentor fund, which is delivered through the National Skills Academy for Sport and Active Leisure. Spaces are limited, so book now to make the most of this free and subsidised training for your staff. For all courses, booking is on a first come, first served basis. Visit www.sportactivensa.co.uk/north for details of the courses and dates available. Booking can be made directly from the website and payment for the first aid courses must be made online at the time of booking.
