Apex Training

Apex Training is an approved provider of some of the MLTUK awards. These include the Mountain Leader (ML) and Single Pitch Award (SPA) training and assessment courses. Paul Platt is also a Cave Instructor Certificate (CIC) holder and on the panel for Local Cave and Mine Leader Award and along with other providers Apex Training will be hosting the LCMLA L1 and L2 awards.

 As a company we have been providing ML and SPA Training and assessment courses since the late 1990's. During this times we have gone from strength to strength as a company and as a training and assessing team. The ML courses are now fully catered running from Holly How YHA in Coniston. We now offer 9 ML training and 9 ML assessment courses each year and a similar amount of SPA courses. This ensures that our staff are current, well practised and very experienced, not just as mountaineers in their own right, but also as trainers and assessors on ML and SPA courses. In our view it is this key element that contributes enormously to delivering a top quality course. With the excellent location, our staff team and growing amount of courses available, which include CPD courses, we are an excellent alternative to the national centres.
