Mere Mountains

JEM is directed by John and Elspeth Mason. We are passionate about the value of the outdoors and about delivering quality training courses tailored to meeting individual learning needs. JEM is the professional development arm of Mere Mountains an AALA licensed Outdoor Education and Adventure provider and we have been running training courses in the South Lakes for 20 years. Courses we deliver include MLTE, BCU and RYA awards, NVQ's, HSE and outdoor/advanced First Aid, and the IOL Facilitation Skills Module.

The JEM training team are all experienced coaches and assessors in several fields and are Accredited Practitioners of the Institute for Outdoor Learning. The team, in addition to John Mason (MA MEd  and MLTE Course Director ) and Elspeth Mason (BSC PGCE, HSE Director of Training and IOL Facilitation Course provider), includes  Ross Wallace (ex OB National Training Manager) and Tom Sibbald (BCU Course Specialist).

We have the breadth of experience and professional delivery skills, indoor and out, to ensure that, whatever the course, it is a rewarding and developmental experience for all participants whatever their background and level of experience.
